When it comes to traveling, it’s fun to go to a hot destination. However, you can find something more
relaxing and unique in a mountain setting. Taking some buddies to the Sierra Nevada may give you a
different perspective on life. Here are some of the best places to enjoy yourself with your friends in
Sierra.
Yosemite National Park
If you decide to visit the Western side of the Sierra Nevada, make a stop at the Yosemite National Park.
You don’t need to go to St. John Island to get some breathtaking views. Yosemite has different points
that make it a spectacular spot.
Check out Glacier Point at 7,200 ft elevation. Photographers and tourists love the scenery because it’s
great to spend some romantic time with a significant other. Also, it’s an excellent spot for taking
pictures and capturing nature at her finest.
Yosemite Falls is another place to check out. It’s a three-tier waterfall that stands at an epic 2,425 ft.
Get some exercise and take a height to the top. Pack some bear spray because you may encounter one
on your journey.
Enjoy the weather, the water, and the wildlife that Yosemite National Park offers.
Lake Tahoe
Here’s a location with a backdrop that only Mother Nature could design. Although it’s a pretty popular
tourist destination, the vibe is relaxing. It’s the largest alpine lake in the United States, stretching from
the border of California and Nevada.
It’s perfect if you don’t want to get to the city parts of California and Nevada. Take a breather from all
of the traffic and bustle of the city. Looking at the emerald and sapphire-shaded look makes you feel
more at ease.
Water sports, mountain biking, and hiking can keep you active while still enjoying a soothing vacation
in the spring and summer. If you want to get some nightlife action, head to Harrah’s Lake Tahoe for
gambling and music.
It features one of the largest resorts in South Lake Tahoe. Eat great Mexican food and enjoy some
music at Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina. You’ll take in a dance-filled night outside of the skiing
and snowboarding during the day.
Whether you want an outdoor adventure or dance the night away with your friends, Lake Tahoe can
fulfill both needs to give you a well-rounded trip.
Columbia State Historic Park
Take a look at this gold-rush town turned into a park. If you always wondered about the Wild Wild
West, get a bit of that action here. You can get a guided tour of the history of this park.
Also, you can wear costumes and participate in shows and trades that would be accurate for the time.
From the 19th-century architecture to the sarsaparilla drinks, you can get an authentic feel of
yesteryear. Have a romantic evening with your spouse and hop on a stagecoach ride. It makes you
appreciate some Western history.
Heading to the Sierra Nevada can be a fun, relaxing, and action-packed trip for you and your loved
ones.
